Paragraph Description
Verdant is a privacy-first grow journal and AI advisor for iOS, built for growers who want precision documentation without sacrificing data ownership. The app allows users to create detailed plant profiles, log journal entries with photos and environmental data (temperature, humidity, pH, EC/PPM, VPD), and build a full visual timelapse of every grow.
Unlike cloud-connected garden apps, Verdant stores everything locally using Swift Data. There is no account required, no cloud sync, and no backend. Data never leaves the device unless the user exports it.
The optional AI Grow Advisor — available as a one-time in-app purchase — lets users ask natural-language questions about their plants and receive context-aware guidance drawn from their actual plant profiles and journal history. Users bring their own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or a compatible provider, maintaining full control over their data and costs.
Verdant is currently in pre-launch. iOS availability is expected in 2026. An Android version is planned.
